Kansas pulled off a massive upset over Oklahoma on Saturday — and fans subsequently pulled out one of the goalposts.

The Jayhawks stunned the No. 6 Sooners, 38-33, and a large crowd at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas, charged the field and made quite the memorable scene on Saturday afternoon.

The throng of fans charged one of the goalposts on the field and quickly climbed up the yellow structure.

Fox Sports cameras captured the madness, and play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti knew exactly what was coming next.

“This is going to be leaning and falling very quickly in a day to remember in Lawrence,” Benetti said on the broadcast.

And, not long after the swarm jumped on the posts, it did indeed fall down with even more people grabbing hold out of it as is got closer to the field.

“Humanity… at its finest,” Benetti quipped as the goalpost came down.

“Oklahoma went down — and so did the uprights, my friend. Wow,” analyst Brock Huard replied.

As DJ Khaled’s “All I Do is Win” played on the stadium sound system, it appeared that Kansas fans were bringing the goalpost outside the field.

It evoked memories of a wild SEC clash last season when Tennessee took down Alabama when fans did exactly the same thing and brought the goalpost outside of Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.

After that incident, Tennessee was fined $100,000 by the SEC.

It was likely little surprise that Jayhawks fans would pull off a similar stunt, as the team came in with five wins but was unranked and facing an undefeated Sooners squad that came into Saturday firmly in the mix of College Football Playoff contenders.

In a back-and-forth affair, Kansas converted on a fourth-and-6 on its final drive before Devin Neal scored what would be the game-winning rushing touchdown.

It was Kansas’ first win over a top-10 team at home since 1984.
