The Rangers have their first World Series title.
Behind six scoreless innings from starter Nathan Eovaldi, Texas rolled to a 5-0 win over the Diamondbacks in Game 5 to win the series four games to one on Wednesday night.
D-backs pitcher Zac Gallen held Texas hitless into the seventh, but Corey Seager came through with a single before Mitch Garver broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single.
Texas added four insurance runs in the ninth, capped off by a Marcus Semien two-run homer to left.
Reliever Josh Sborz finished the job off with 2 1/3 scoreless, striking out four.
The win marked manager Bruce Bochy’s fourth title as a big league skipper.
