Apparently getting blasted for 48 points in an NFL playoff elimination game is enough to get you a promotion, as FanDuel Sportsbook is suggesting with their latest odds.
Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn (-240) is the overwhelming favorite to take over as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, a job previously held by Pete Carroll from 2010-23.
It is no secret that Seattle has wanted to bring Quinn in as their coach, immediately setting him up with an interview after Dallas’ season shockingly ended.
Behind Quinn is Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson (+550), long considered a prodigy as a play-caller in Detroit, and he is expected to be a hot candidate this offseason.
The Seahawks’ interest in Quinn has long been expected but considering his group’s season-ending performance Sunday against the Packers, it will be interesting to see how they proceed.
The Packers blasted Quinn’s defense Sunday, as quarterback Jordan Love threw only five incompletions on 21 passes with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Green Bay also made their will known early as they got Aaron Jones heavily involved in the offense, taking 21 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns in their 48-32 win.
Quinn also had significant success with the Seahawks in the past as the defensive coordinator of their “Legion of Boom” in 2013.

Betting on the NFL?
Seattle won the Super Bowl that year, after which Quinn departed for Atlanta to be their head coach.
He was the head coach of the Falcons during their 2016 Super Bowl collapse vs. the Patriots.
Quinn has since moved on to the Cowboys as their defensive coordinator, where he has enjoyed similar success to what he accomplished in Seattle years prior.
