Dominik Mysterio’s close friends and family are committed to the bit.
Mysterio, the WWE performer who is the son of legendary professional wrestler Rey Mysterio Jr., is one of the most reviled heels in recent WWE memory, getting booed vociferously in arenas across the world on a regular basis.
Mysterio got married to his childhood sweetheart, Marie Juliette, and the boos even extended to his own wedding ceremony.
As Mysterio, 26, was introduced for his speech, the booing began.
He tried to start speaking to thank his guests, and the booing only intensified.
Eventually, he was finally able to get his speech in.
The couple reportedly met when they were 14 years old, in high school Spanish class.
In November, the two jointly shared a photo reel on Instagram, detailing slides from 12 years of their relationship.
“12 years down, forever to go,” Marie captioned in the slide.
At their wedding, the couple’s first dance was accompanied by the song “Pointless” by Lewis Capaldi.
Mysterio has been appearing regularly on WWE TV since 2019, first accompanying his father and becoming his tag-team partner, during which a story was teased gradually that the son would eventually turn on his dad.
Recently, he has been in a stable called the Judgment Day with Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.
Ripley and Mysterio go by Mami and Papi as their nicknames in the storyline.
This past December, The Post’s Joseph Staszewski named the Judgment Day the 2023 Faction of the Year in his annual professional wrestling awards list.
