Edwin Diaz’s extravagant bullpen entrance just got a whole lot brighter.

The team showed off its new LED light display when the star closer made his first night game appearance of the season at Citi Field on Monday.

With his iconic walkout song, “Narco” by Timmy Trumpet, blasting in the background, Diaz took the mound in the ninth inning in a 0-0 score with the Detroit Tigers, delighting the crowd in Queens.

Mets fans danced and cheered as Diaz jogged out from center field as lights in the stadium flashed on and off with plenty of orange and blue streaking across the building.

Diaz tossed a scoreless inning, punching out two Tigers in what was a rare positive moment for the team during the early going of the 2024 season.

The 30-year-old flamethrower appears healthy after missing all of last season with a patellar tendon tear he suffered during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Diaz pitched a clean top of the ninth inning in a 7-6 loss to the Brewers on Saturday, his first big league appearance in 537 days.

“It was great, I felt really happy,” Diaz said after that game. “A little bit anxious, I can’t lie to you guys. But I did my job.”

Diaz’s return has been a silver lining in the Mets’ disastrous start to the season.

The Mets dropped to 0-4 on Monday night after an extra-innings 5-0 loss to Detroit, despite six shutout innings from newcomer Sean Manaea.

The team has led for just two innings through four games. It’s the franchise’s worst start to a season since 2005.

The Mets will host the Tigers in the second game of their three-game series on Tuesday night in search of their first win of the season.
