The Rangers had a familiar — and unexpected — face at practice on Friday.
Filip Chytil skated in a regular jersey with the team for the first time since suffering a setback in his recovery from a suspected concussion in late January.
The Czech center has been medically cleared, according to a source, but there is still no definitive timeline on his return to the Rangers lineup.
There is now a possibility that Chytil can return at some point in the playoffs.
The Rangers have not rushed Chytil during this process and don’t plan to do so moving forward.
Chytil, who has been working out and skating on his own, wanted to participate in practice on Friday.
