Jake Paul insists that he will stay ready for Mike Tyson.

The influencer-turned-pro boxer said Friday in a video on his social media that he was devastated to hear about Tyson’s ulcer flare-up forced a postponement of their highly anticipated July 20 fight.

The medical incident caused Tyson to suffer from dizziness and nausea on a flight shortly before landing on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday.

Most Valuable Promotions — Paul’s promotional company — announced in a press release Friday that the fight will be delayed to a later date.

A new day for the bout will be announced by June 7.

Paul reacted with sorrow to the postponement on his X account.

“Obviously, devastating news, I’m heartbroken, speechless, gutted,” the 27-year-old Paul said. “We’ve been working so hard over here, everyone in this camp. And I just feel so bad for everyone involved in this event, the whole undercard, this opportunity has been ripped from all of us. But I do value Mike’s health first and foremost. Love that guy, have so much respect for him.”

Paul continued: “I want Mike to be healthy. And he still says he’s going to knock me out and that I bought myself some time,” he added with a laugh. “So Mike is still talking shit over there.”

Paul later added: “I’m ready whenever you are. This is too big of an opportunity. This fight is going to change the world.”

Outside of the ulcer, Tyson has dealt with sciatica for years, and it also has occasionally flared up.

Tyson, who turns 58 on June 30, previously maintained that he would be healthy for the fight, posting on X earlier this week that he was “now feeling” 100 percent, even though he doesn’t “need to be” to beat Paul.

The bout is expected to be a sanctioned one, meaning it will count on each individual’s pro boxing record.

Tyson is 50-6 with 44 knockouts and has been retired from in-ring competition since 2005, though he has done multiple exhibition fights, including one against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

Making his pro debut in 1985, he became WBC world heavyweight champion in 1986 at 28-0, later becoming undisputed heavyweight champion before his shock loss to James “Buster” Douglas in 1990.

Tyson later reclaimed the WBC title after knocking out Frank Bruno in 1996.

Paul is 9-1 with six knockouts as a pro, his lone defeat a split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Since then, he has won three straight, including a decision over former UFC star Nate Diaz.
