For what feels like the hundredth time since 2000, Boston is hosting a championship parade on Friday.
One notable viral moment to come out of the parade for the Celtics was NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown partying on his duckboat with Kysre Gondrezick, a guard on the WNBA’s Chicago Sky.
Gondrezick has appeared in four games so far this season.
Her father was the late NBA player Grant Gondrezick, who played for the Suns and Clippers in the late 1980s.
The Sky beat the Dallas Wings 83-72 in a matinee game in Chicago on Thursday and are slated to play the Indiana Fever at home on Sunday.
The Fever, who selected Gondrezick fourth overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft, have become heated rivals with the Sky this season as Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and Sky rookie Angel Reese have been playing each other from AAU into big stages in college.
Brown was named Finals MVP after averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in the series against the Mavericks, including a 30-point performance in Game 3, which gave the Celtics a 3-0 lead.
Last offseason, Brown signed a record five-year, $304 million contract extension with the Celtics, which will likely be surpassed by his teammate Jayson Tatum this summer.
Brown wore a shirt to the Celtics’ parade that said “State your source,” a reference to a beef he’s had with ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith, who relayed unflattering anonymously sourced intel earlier in the playoffs.
Last year, ex-Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was accused of beating and choking Gondrezick, allegations that the WNBA player later told The Post were untrue.
