Todd McShay might have a new home over a year after his ESPN exit.
McShay is in serious talks to join The Ringer as a football podcaster, The Post has learned.
McShay and Ringer star Ryen Russillo — previously McShay’s colleague at ESPN — hinted at a future collaboration on Rusillo’s self-titled podcast earlier this week.
A deal has not been finalized, sources said.
A spokesperson for Spotify, the parent company of The Ringer, declined to comment Thursday and a rep for McShay could not be reached for comment by The Post.
McShay is well-versed in college football and the NFL.
In addition to working as a sideline reporter during college games, he was perhaps most known at ESPN for working in tandem with Mel Kiper, Jr. as an NFL draft guru.
McShay also boasts an enormous social media presence with over 700,000 followers on X.
McShay was one of the cuts from ESPN’s massive layoffs last June after 17 years with the network.
On-air talents such as Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Suzy Kolber, Max Kellerman and Steve Young were also let go in the stunning shakeup.
The Ringer is in a potential state of flux over the next several months, with The Post reporting in August that founder Bill Simmons’ contract is expiring in early 2025, and his future with the company remains uncertain.
