Population health technology company Color Health announced the appointment of Dr. Rebecca Miksad as chief medical officer and Josh Sturm as chief revenue officer.
Miksad is a medical oncologist and head of Boston University School of Medicine’s High Risk Cancer Genetics Clinic and formerly held the position of senior medical director at oncology-focused digital health company Flatiron Health.
She will oversee Color’s medical and clinical aspects, including the development of its Virtual Cancer Clinic.
Sturm will focus on expanding Color’s partnerships. He formerly served as vice president at digital musculoskeletal company Hinge Health. He was also the vice president at Surescripts and Cigna-owned online pharmacy and pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts.
“Josh and Rebecca have vital on-the-ground experience in patient and customer relationships that are invaluable in telling the story of what working with a company like Color can do for both companies and individual patients,” Othman Laraki, CEO of Color Health, said in a statement.

Digital cardiac and lung-disease health startup Eko Health is adding Brent D. Lang to its board of directors.
Lang is a former Olympic gold medalist and was chairman and CEO of Vocera Communications. He led Vocera through its growth, IPO and $3 billion acquisition by Stryker.
“Brent’s wealth of experience in healthcare technology and company building, combined with a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes, makes him the perfect partner for Eko as we continue to help clinicians diagnose cardiopulmonary diseases earlier and with greater accuracy,” Connor Landgraf, CEO of Eko Health, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our Board.”
Healthcare technology company Medtronic has hired Dr. James Porter as chief medical officer of robotic surgical technologies and digital technologies within the surgical business, which is part of the company’s Medical Surgical Portfolio.
Porter is a practicing urologic surgeon specializing in prostate, kidney cancer and urinary constructive procedures. The company says he is “a recognized leader among the global surgical community and one of the top five robotic surgery practitioners in the U.S.”
He is also the medical director of robotic surgery at Providence Swedish in Seattle, Washington.
