Bill Belichick is getting his big-screen college football debut after all.
The University of North Carolina coach previously saw his deal with HBO fall by the wayside, and Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports reported on Friday that Hulu has entered the fray to produce a docuseries.
The report states that the early-stage production has already begun for the show.
It is unclear what the show will be named now that it has landed on Hulu.
HBO reportedly passed on the show at the last second due partly to a creative difference with Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
It’s also not the first time Hudson’s involvement has stirred problems for the Tar Heels coach.
The 24-year-old previously created a firestorm when she interrupted her boyfriend’s CBS interview on multiple occasions to steer the interview in a direction she saw fit, which avoided any questions about how their relationship started.
She also previously appeared in pictures with Lil Wayne, among other celebrities, at UNC.
After which, multiple reports insisted that North Carolina officials banned Hudson from the school’s football facilities.
The school later denied that was the case.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,” a statement by the University of North Carolina said. “Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
It is unclear if Hudson will appear in the North Carolina documentary, but it is expected to follow the team’s training camp and preparation for his first season as the team’s coach.
