More sex toys thrown during Sky-Dream game despite recent arrests

Two more sex toys were thrown toward the court of a WNBA game on Thursday night in Chicago, as the bizarre disruptions have continued around the league.

The incidents occurred during the third and fourth quarters of the Sky’s game against the Dream at Wintrust Arena, with what appeared to be one dildo landing behind the Dream bench, and the other — a purple colored object — launched at center court in the closing seconds of the game.

At least one was not neon green, which has become synonymous with the ongoing trend, with now seven instances of sex toys being thrown toward the playing surfaces at WNBA games.

Front Office Sports reported on social media that two people were stopped at one of the exits inside the arena and surrounded by police and security.

The two individuals were questioned — video showed them standing and talking with security and uniformed cops — but were ultimately free to go after there was no proof that they had thrown the objects, according to the outlet.

The incidents have overshadowed the play on the court and have made national headlines, with a majority of players unamused by the occurrences.

Thursday was the second time it’s happened at a Sky game.

“I thought it was dumb before, and I still think it’s dumb,” Sky center Elizabeth Williams said, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

“It says something to me that it happened at a women’s sporting event,” Williams added. “To me, that’s intentional, even if they don’t think it is.”

The Sky organization has not commented about Thursday’s incident.

Earlier in the day, a group of crypto meme coin creators claimed responsibility for the phallic flinging phenomenon in interviews with several national media outlets, including Barstool Sports’ “KFC Radio,” USA Today and ESPN.

The league has stepped up security in hopes of preventing these incidents from continuing after they’ve taken place in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix and New York.

The Liberty and NYPD are investigating an incident during Tuesday’s game where a sex toy was thrown toward the court. However, it didn’t reach the floor and instead scared a young fan in attendance, The Post’s Madeline Kenney reported.

A fan in Georgia was arrested earlier this week for his role in a previous incident, and, in Phoenix, authorities arrested an 18-year-old man for attempting to throw a dildo onto the court, which struck a man and his niece who were at the Mercury game.

The league has said in a previous statement that fans will be “immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
