It was not the most pleasant of questions, but given the circumstances, it was not inappropriate.
Graham Gano is the oldest player on the Giants roster, and at 38, he is coming off an injury-ravaged season. Actually, he is coming off two injury-shortened seasons.
So, it is not unfair to ask him to state his case. Why should the Giants and their fans feel confident Gano can once again be what he once was and be relied upon to be durable, dependable and capable of drilling long-distance field goals?
Gano’s countenance one day during training camp revealed he understood the doubt, but did not appreciate being doubted.
