Hulk Hogan’s son teases starting his wrestling career after WWE legend’s death

Nick Hogan isn’t ruling out a career in wrestling after the death of his father, WWE icon Hulk Hogan, in July.

During an interview with TMZ, Nick explained that he’s “always loved the business” and it makes him feel closer to Hulk, whose death was ruled a heart attack at age 71 in July.

“You never know, man. It’s in the blood. So, you never know,” Nick said while at LAX airport on Thursday. “I’ve always loved the business.

Nick Hogan, son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, speaks after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis named a trail in honor of Hulk Hogan during a news conference Friday, October 3, 2025, in Clearwater, Fla. AP

“Obviously it makes me feel so much closer to [my] dad, being around the business and being in that environment. I have a lot of love for it.”

He added that he stays in contact with the wrestling community, which he called “family,” and close to the business.

Nick went on to say that he’s in “pretty good shape” after wrestling fans were buzzing over a photo he shared from his workout with NWA star Bryan Idol earlier this week.

“I’m not saying too much, trying to stay in good shape,” Nick said.

“You never know,” he said when asked if the photo was his hard launch to a wrestling career.

Hulk died of a heart attack at his home on July 24, according to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center records obtained by Page Six.

His manner of death was ruled natural, according to the cremation summary approval report.

The records also stated that Hogan previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation, or irregular heartbeat.

Hulk’s cause of death is still in dispute.

On Aug. 30, Nick and Hulk’s wife, Sky Daily ,filed a petition in Pinellas County, Fla., to extend the statute of limitations by 90 days for an investigation into medical malpractice with Hulk, according to Fox 13 News.

The probe involves doctors and health care providers at Morton Plant Hospital, where Hogan was pronounced dead on July 24, and at Tampa General Hospital, the outlet said.

In an August interview with The Post, Nick explained his family did whatever they could to help his father recover from a neck surgery in May and complications that arose afterward.

“There were just multiple different things that were complicated, that towards the end of it, we tried to deal with, and he really, really was fighting and trying to recover,” Nick, said. “And there were just things that were just unexpected, that we couldn’t have really done any differently.

“We all put our best foot forward and tried to be there with support and putting our heads together to help and trying to figure out the best way for him to recover. Unfortunately, it was not the easiest situation to be in and not the easiest road.”

Hulk and his ex-wife, Linda, are parents to Nick and his sister Brooke.

The Hogans have multiple businesses, including a bar in Clearwater, Fla., and the Real American Beer brand, a light lager Hulk launched in June 2024.

Hulk and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff’s Real American Freestyle league launched with its first event on Aug. 30.

Nick told The Post that he is focused on the future opening of Hulk’s 9,000-square-foot, $7 million Slam Sports Bar at 461 8th Avenue across from Madison Square Garden — where the Hulkster had many iconic moments in his career, including beating the Iron Sheik for the WWWF World championship in 1984 to the launch of WrestleMania the following year.
