A day after the 24-year-old girlfriend of University of North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick said she is suing investigative journalist Pablo Torre for defamation, she shared screenshots of messages disputing his reporting that she lied about her age.
During the May 9 episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” Torre shared a video from the Miss Maine USA pageant in March 2024, in which Hudson said she was 22 years old — and reported that Hudson put her wrong birth year as 2000 on an “internal document” that had circulated around the football program.
Hudson shared Monday two screenshots of text conversations she purportedly had with UNC Athletics Chief of Personnel Emily Muse, showing Muse admitting that she wrote the wrong birth year on a family directory document.
“One of MANY inaccurate and materially defamatory reports about me by Pablo Torre,” Hudson wrote. “I did not fill out any UNC internal documents or forms pertaining to the family directory.”
Hudson did not share legal documents of her apparent lawsuit against Torre.
Torre responded at 10 p.m. Monday night with a video that seemed to allege the X direct messages may have been altered.
He has stood by multiple stories he reported about Hudson and Belichick’s relationship.
In May, Torre said he spoke with 11 people who have dealt directly with Hudson and claimed Belichick’s family was concerned and looking into her.
His investigation provided a timeline of events and other alleged “famous stories” of Hudson acting controlling and self-serving.
Torre also claimed at the time that higher-ups inside the athletic department at UNC banned Hudson from the football field and inside its football facility.
Carolina Athletics disputed that claim and Hudson has been a constant presence on the sideline this season.
Hudson and Belichick, who went public with their relationship last June, have been the subject of Torre’s investigations since the coach’s disastrous “CBS Sunday Morning” interview in April.
She stole the spotlight when she interrupted the interview and stopped Belichick from answering a question about how the couple met.
Belichick said they met on a flight in 2021.
Hudson previously revealed they’ve been dating since 2022.
