Last year was a season of moments for Mikal Bridges. So far, his second season with the Knicks has delivered all-around consistency.
After Jalen Brunson, it has been Bridges — not Karl-Anthony Towns or OG Anunoby — who has clearly been the Knicks’ most important piece this year. The numbers jump off the page.
He leads the team in win shares at 3.2, per Basketball Reference. Entering Thursday, that ranked fifth in the entire NBA, behind only Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jimmy Butler and Tyrese Maxey.
He is shooting 53.7 percent from the field, which would be the second-best mark of his career and best since the 2020-21 season with the Suns. He’s shooting a stellar 43.3 percent from 3-point range, which would be the best of his career.
