Perhaps it was love at first bite.
A smiling John Harbaugh capped off his whirlwind Giants day on Wednesday with dinner at Elia Mediterranean Restaurant in East Rutherford with general manager Joe Schoen — the same day The Post’s Paul Schwartz reported that all signs are pointing to the Super Bowl winner as the team’s next coach.
A photo shared Thursday on the restaurant’s Instagram account features the coach-GM duo grinning side by side.

“Congratulations to John Harbaugh on becoming the new Head Coach of the New York Giants. Wishing you nothing but success in this next chapter. Thank you to the entire New York Giants organization for always including us as part of the process — it truly means a lot,” the restaurant’s caption read.
The Post reported that the Giants took Harbaugh to Elia for an early dinner before he returned to his Baltimore home following a full day at the team’s facility — the only team visit he took.
The Giants aggressively pursued Harbaugh after he was fired by the Ravens last week following 18 seasons at the helm.
The Titans and Falcons were also interested in Harbaugh, but in-person interviews were canceled with the two teams when Harbaugh locked in on the Giants.
Harbaugh is expected to succeed Brian Daboll, who was fired midway through his fourth season in November.
