The Mets already have a big injury concern to start spring training.
Star shortstop Francisco Lindor has a stress reaction in the hamate bone on his left hand and is being examined Wednesday, president of baseball operations David Stearns said.

Lindor, 32, may need surgery and if so, he’d be out for six weeks.
That would put his Opening Day status up in the air but he could recover in time.
Lindor, a five-time All-Star, hit .267 with an .811 OPS, 31 home runs and 86 RBIs during the 2025 season.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
