The NFL Scouting Combine is happening in Indianapolis this week, and the draft prospects are not the only ones trying to secure their futures.
This is a week when player agents meet with teams and have discussions about free agency. The picture begins to become clear for pending free agents of what their market will look like when free agency opens next month.
For the Jets, their No. 1 free agent is running back Breece Hall. Jets general manager Darren Mougey said Tuesday the Jets’ plan is to keep Hall — either by signing him to an extension or by using the franchise or transition tag on him.
It makes sense for the Jets to hold onto Hall, but I don’t think this decision is a no-brainer.
