The Mets had a big injury scare down in Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday night.

Luisangel Acuña, the team’s top prospect on MLB Pipeline, was hit in the face by a pitch and appeared to be bloodied in the sixth inning of the Rumble Ponies’ first game of a playoff series against the Yankees’ Somerset Patriots.

Batting with a runner on first, Acuña was drilled in the first pitch of his at-bat by right-hander Zach Messinger.

After crumpling to the ground, Acuña, 21, got up into a crouch and was attended to by the coaching and training staff.

He eventually walked off the field on his own power with bench coach Mariano Duncan and a trainer beside him while he held a towel to his face, which appeared to be bloodied.

Acuña was acquired from the Rangers before the trade deadline for Max Scherzer, whose season came to an end last week with an injury.

Acuña hit .243/.317/.304 in 37 regular season games with Binghamton after the deal.

He finished the game Tuesday night 0-for-3.
