Australian Olympian Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn signs with influencer agency

Raygun has signed with a talent agency, but there are suggestions the breakdancer has already missed the boat.

Rachael Gunn, who used the name ‘Raygun’ during her widely mocked breaking appearance at the Paris Olympic Games, continues to figure prominently in the Australian media.

This week the 36-year-old Gunn was linked with an appearance on an upcoming season of “I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of here!” and she has now signed with influencer marketing agency Born Bred Talent.

Gunn, who has soared to 197,000 Instagram followers, has added a contact from the agency to her bio on the platform.

The old saying states all publicity is good publicity and Gunn has had bucketloads of media coverage in Australia and around the world ever since she left jaws on the floor busting out the “sprinkler,” a snake impression and a kangaroo hop at the Games.

Adele, Jimmy Fallon and DJ Fatboy Slim have all referenced Gunn since then, with the latter stating “we would have given you 10 out of 10, Rachael” alongside a hilarious video comparing her moves to those seen in his film clip for mega hit Praise You.

Gunn finally broke her silence with a social media post last week and then made a cameo appearance at the TV Week Logies Awards.

But a public relations expert believes the Australian may have waited too long to attempt translating all that coverage into some lucrative deals.

“If she was taking this seriously, she should have already done five international talk shows by now,” the expert told Daily Mail Australia.

“Raygun has had some of the biggest stars in the world talking about her and doing impressions of her.

“(But) the best her management have come up with is a pre-recorded message on the Logies.”

In her recorded social media post, Gunn insisted she gave her all in the Olympic competition and asked for the harassment of her “family, friends, the breaking community” to end.

Now, Gunn has reportedly caught the attention of the producers of I’m a Celebrity.

The show, which throws a range of celebrities into a campsite and involves a range of challenges and eliminations before a winner is announced, aired its 10th season earlier this year.

Not surprisingly, Gunn is reportedly considered a perfect addition for the next series.

It would be a lucrative move for Gunn, who may already be running out of time if she wants to capitalize on her rapid rise to fame.

Olympic Games judges failed to award her a single round in her three appearances in Paris.

Gunn, the Oceania continental champion, won plenty of new fans with her self-deprecating style, but the judges – and most of the world – saw it differently.
