Bliss garners $17.5M for cosmetic surgeon, patient matching platform

Bliss Aesthetics, a company that connects patients to plastic surgeons, announced it secured $17.5 million in seed funding.

Shine Capital led the round, with participation from Synchrony Ventures, Sheva Ventures, Point72 Ventures and Cerca Partners.

WHAT IT DOES

Bliss Aesthetics matches patients to board-certified plastic surgeons. Its genAI platform gives patients the ability to visually preview the outcome of cosmetic procedures and provides them with information regarding financing partners. The company also offers 24/7 support via a patient care consultant.

The Bliss platform is currently available in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Michigan and North Carolina.

The funds will be used to grow the company’s provider base and expand to five new states.

“This funding will give us the ability to harness the momentum we are experiencing, building on the 500% growth of our provider base in our patient-to-physician app since our launch while expanding to five new states across the country,” Gal Yosef, Bliss cofounder and CEO, said in a statement.

“By combining intelligent matchmaking with AI tools, we equip patients to make informed, confident, and financially savvy decisions and give doctors the ability to deliver better outcomes to more patients with less administrative burden.”

MARKET SNAPSHOT

Other companies that connect patients to doctors include Zocdoc, which in 2024 unveiled a guided search capability that provides patients with more tailored search results based on their symptoms and what they are seeking treatment for, thereby helping users find the right in-network provider.

In 2021, Zocdoc secured $150 million led by Francisco Partners. The company used the funds to invest in its sales and marketing teams and to grow its product line.

Another organization in the space is health data sciences and services company ArmadaHealth, which offers its QualityCare Connect platform, offering members a list and profiles of applicable doctors who meet their needs. The physician-patient matching platform gives patients the data they need to make informed choices.
