Brandon Ingram is sticking in Toronto for a bit.
The former NBA All-Star signed a three-year, $120 million extension with the Raptors on Tuesday, just days after he was acquired from the Pelicans in exchange for Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk and two future draft picks.
The deal includes a player option for the final season in 2027-28.
He’ll form a young core in Toronto that includes Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett who are under contract through at least the 2026-27 season.
Ingram, 27, is headed north after spending the last five-plus seasons in New Orleans, where he landed as a key piece in the Anthony Davis-Lakers trade before the 2019-20 season.
In 18 games this season, Ingram is averaging 22.2 points on 46.5 percent shooting with 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.
He’s been sidelined since early December with a left ankle sprain and has yet to take the court for the Raptors since the trade.
Ingram had been in trade rumors for years before being shipped to Toronto.
The Pelicans finally pulled the trigger on an Ingram deal after the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement on an extension.
The Hawks had also been in talks to acquire Ingram, The Athletic reported.
The Raptors are sitting at 16-37, the fifth-worst record in the NBA, heading into Tuesday’s play.
