After a rollercoaster season that featured three starting quarterbacks, the Browns finished 5-12 at the bottom of the AFC North division.
Two-time NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski was relieved of his duties and given the boot on Monday, clearing the way for oddsmakers to predict who will be coaching the Browns next season.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry has several things on his to-do list, including whether or not Shedeur Sanders is indeed the future under center.
We all know the defensive prowess NFL-sack leader Myles Garrett brings to the table, but the question is, who will be Stefanski’s replacement?
DraftKings has a slew of candidates listed, from current top-tier coordinators to veteran Super Bowl-winning coaches.
Cleveland Browns next head coach odds
| Coach | Odds |
|---|---|
| Chris Shula | +450 |
| Kliff Kingsbury | +600 |
| Joe Brady | +700 |
| Jim Schwartz | +700 |
| Brian Flores | +700 |
| Robert Saleh | +750 |
| Todd Monken | +800 |
| Jesse Minter | +850 |
| Klint Kubiak | +900 |
| Deion Sanders | 20/1 |
As of Tuesday, Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula (+450) has emerged as the favorite to be the next coach of the Browns, per DraftKings.
Shula has taken strides under Sean McVay on the Los Angeles sidelines. After starting as the Rams’ linebackers coach in 2017, Shula worked his way up the ranks to coordinator and is now the leading force behind LA’s top-ranked defensive unit.
Next up is former Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who has +600 odds, and despite engineering a successful scheme around Jayden Daniels, was fired by Washington.
Kingsbury was 28-37-1 as the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach from 2019-2022. A quarterback whisperer, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Johnny Manziel and Caleb Williams are among the signal callers Kingsbury has coached previously.
Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has +700 odds to be Cleveland’s next head coach. The 36-year-old found success at the college level, guiding Joe Burrow and the LSU offense during their 2019 National Title season.
After a season with the Panthers, Brady was hired as the Bills’ quarterbacks coach in 2022 and then promoted to full-time offensive coordinator in 2023.

The Vikings’ Brian Flores is also a name to keep an eye on. Like Brady, the defensive coordinator from Minnesota has 7-to-1 odds to take over in Cleveland.
Defense goes a long way, and Flores brings Super Bowl pedigree as a former member of Bill Belichick’s coaching staff for the New England Patriots dynasty.
If the Browns decide to stick with someone in-house, it’ll be current defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who has +700 odds. Schwartz may be better off as an assistant, though; his 29-52 record with the Detroit Lions from 2009-2013 is not impressive.
A long shot for the position is Shedeur’s dad and current Colorado coach Deion Sanders, who has 20/1 odds of being Cleveland’s next coach.
