Everything was frozen in Kansas City on Saturday night.

Even Andy Reid’s mustache.

The Chiefs head coach’s trademark ‘stache had icicles hanging from it as Kansas City rolled to a 26-7 win over the Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs.

The temperature was minus-4 degrees for the game, with the wind chill making it feel like minus-27 degrees.

“The worst thing that could happen is it falls off, right?” Reid joked to reporters after the game.

The postseason victory was the 23rd of Reid’s career, which is second all-time to the now-former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who has 31.

The Chiefs handled the frigid conditions far better than their counterparts from South Florida, as Patrick Mahomes came out firing.

Mahomes went 23-for-41 with 262 yards, one touchdown and zero turnovers, while Isiah Pacheco ran for 89 yards and a touchdown as the Chiefs went 6-for-15 on third down.

Kicker Harrison Butker managed to go 4-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points despite the conditions.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, meanwhile, went 20-for-39 with 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and Miami converted just one of 12 third-down chances.

The freezing temperature likely played a role in Mahomes losing a chunk of plastic from his helmet during a third-quarter hit, and he had some trouble adjusting to the extra helmet they had in reserve.

“We have to talk about where we store the backup,” Mahomes said after the game. “It was like, frozen.”

If the Bills defeat the Steelers at home Monday in a game that was postponed from Sunday due to snow, the Chiefs would have to travel to Orchard Park for the divisional round.

If Pittsburgh secures the upset, Kansas City would host the No. 4-seeded Texans, while the Steelers would visit the Ravens.
