Concussed Marvin Harrison Jr. stumbles to ground in scary scene

Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. scarily stumbled Sunday after his head collided with the thigh of a Packers defender during Arizona’s Week 6 loss to Green Bay, which saw the rookie exit early with a concussion.

With the Cardinals down 17-0 in the first half, Harrison Jr. attempted to make a grab but saw the ball slip through his hands, with his head hitting the lower body of Green Bay linebacker Isaiah McDuffie in the aftermath.

The scene took a frightening turn shortly after when Harrison Jr., 22, stood up from the field and wobbled before tumbling back to the ground.

The former Ohio State star was then examined in the medical tent and ruled out for the remainder of the game, a 34-13 loss to the Packers.

“He ended up like hitting my leg,” McDuffie said of the play involving Harrison Jr. “I went to go tackle him, and he kind of like ducked and ended up hitting my quad. It was a weird play.”

Head coach Jonathan Gannon said the severity of Harrison Jr.’s concussion is unclear, according to ESPN.

The son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison and the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft, Harrison Jr. has tallied 17 receptions for 279 yards and four touchdowns in six games this season.

The Cardinals, currently 2-4, will host the Chargers (3-2) next week on “Monday Night Football.”

It remains to be seen if Harrison Jr. will be available for the Week 7 matchup.
