Fans were sounding alarm bells on Sunday night as NBC Sports analyst Cris Collinsworth appeared to have bruised and callused hands during a freezing cold game between the Bills and 49ers.

As the camera panned to Collinsworth and his partner Mike Tirico, fans were keen to point out the top of Collinsworth’s hands, which appeared to be discolored while sitting in the booth.

Some angles showed black and blue bruising, and others showed extremely dry skin.

This is hardly surprising, though, as the game in Buffalo went off in a winter wonderland, with snow falling throughout the game due to the lake effect.

Temperatures got as low as 26 degrees during the game, but wind was also a major factor, as gusts got as high as 30 MPH, according to USA Today.

Viewers took to X to comment on Collinsworth’s hands, including one who wrote, “Why does Chris [sic] Collinsworth’s hand look like Dumbledore’s cursed hand in Half-Blood Prince?”

The weather was a major advantage for the home team, as Josh Allen put on a show and led the Bills to a blowout 35-10 win on “Sunday Night Football.”

Collinsworth, 65, didn’t appear to miss a beat while on the call, describing the game with the same veracity as usual as Allen caught, ran, and threw for a touchdown.

He became he first quarterback to accomplish such a feat in an NFL game.

Fans were still uneasy about the sight of Collinsworth’s hands in such a state, with one questioning why the 65-year-old former NFL wide receiver appeared to be in such a cold environment while in the booth calling the game.

Collinsworth appeared well prepared for the conditions, wearing multiple layers, including at least two quarter-zip sweaters underneath a leather jacket.

Perhaps next time, he’ll snag some gloves and some hand lotion to keep those puppies protected and keep the viewer’s fears of his demise at ease.
