Dalvin Cook is kicking off the new year as a free agent.
The four-time Pro Bowl running back and the Jets “have mutually agreed to part ways,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday, less than six months after he signed a one-year deal with the team.
The move will provide Cook “the opportunity to play for a playoff team,” per his agency, Pelissero reported.
The 28-year-old Cook appeared in 14 games with the Jets, rushing for 214 yards while tallying 15 receptions for 87 yards.
