The Giants were on the field Monday for their first organized team activity practice of the spring and right there, running the offense, was Daniel Jones.

Jones participated in 7-on-7 drills, a sign his recovery from a torn right ACL is on schedule.

General manager Joe Schoen said earlier this offseason that the plan was for Jones to be able to take part in more than individual drills once the Giants entered Phase 3 of the voluntary offseason workout program.

Jones underwent reconstructive surgery on Nov. 22 and the feeling was he would be ready for the start of training camp this summer, as long as he did not experience any setbacks.

Schoen has also said if Jones is healthy, the expectation is he will be the starting quarterback on opening day. Drew Lock was signed to serve as Jones’ backup and Tommy DeVito also returns from last season.

Jones in the 7-on-7 drill completed passes to rookie first-round pick Malik Nabers and also Wan’Dale Robinson, according to the team website.

Jones, 26, did not participate in the 11-on-11 drills. Lock connected with Nabers on the first pass of that drill.

Jones is entering the second year of a four-year, $160 million contract. He is due to make $36 million in base salary in 2024 but has no guaranteed money remaining on his deal after this season.

Jones missed three games with a neck injury, returned in Week 9 and went down with the torn ACL in a 30-6 loss to the Raiders in Las Vegas, ending his season.

Schoen tried to trade up in the NFL draft to get quarterback Drake Maye but the Patriots did not accept any offers and selected Maye with the No. 3 overall pick.

The Giants took Nabers at No. 6 and did not take a quarterback with any of their other five picks.
