A gentlemen’s bet between two ex-rivals will be taking place during “Sunday Night Football.”
Cowboys-Eagles is expected to be one of the better games of the NFL season, and former wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Dez Bryant are betting $10,000 on the winner of the game.
“Have that $10k ready for Sunday night,” Jackson, a former Eagles star wrote to ex-Cowboys All-Pro Bryant on X this week.
“Yo Jack, my ten bands right here for you smoking on that Eagle Pack Sunday! You better believe it,” Bryant responded.
Jackson is getting the short end of the stick on this bet, though.
The Eagles are 3.5-point underdogs on “Sunday Night Football” on Caesars Sportsbook, and they are +158 on the moneyline.
Jackson’s $10,000 bet would win $15,800 if he bet it at Caesars, but Bryant is taking advantage where he can.
Bryant is getting a hilarious 15.4 percent edge on the true odds of a bet on the Cowboys’ moneyline.
Dallas is -196 on the moneyline, which equates to 65.4 percent implied — +100 is obviously 50 percent implied odds.
Betting on the NFL?
Since 2003, the Cowboys are 21-19 in this head-to-head matchup.
Jackson and Bryant battled toe-toe-toe at least twice a year throughout their careers in the NFC East.
In 13 games against the Eagles, Bryant dominated with nine touchdowns and 975 receiving yards.
Jackson, who had a much longer career, only officially retiring this month, played 18 games against the Cowboys, accumulating 1,330 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
