A former Met is now joining one of the Yankees’ American League East rivals.

The Toronto Blue Jays reached a deal with veteran infielder Eduardo Escobar on Thursday night, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.

The club has not confirmed the deal.

The Mets traded the 35-year-old veteran to the Los Angeles Angels for two minor league pitchers on June 24, a month before last season’s trade deadline.

Escobar — who had signed a two-year, $20 million deal with the Mets before the 2022 season — had just six homers and 31 RBIs in 99 games for the Amazin’s and Angels last season.

It was a far cry from Escobar’s 20 homer, 69-RBI season over 139 games in his first year with the team. He has a career slash line of .253/.305/.430 with 164 home runs and 636 RBIs.

The Blue Jays, who have been looking to add some infielders because of the potential exits of third baseman Matt Chapman and second baseman Whit Merrified, already have added a couple of veteran infielders before reaching a deal with Escobar.

Toronto already added third baseman Justin Turner — though he may become the club’s primary designated hitter — and Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

The former Yankees utilityman had played shortstop, second base and third base during his two-year tenure with the Bombers.

In recent years, Escobar has played mostly third base, but also has seen significant time at second.
