Giants Malik Nabers pokes fun at fantasy football, himself in new IHOP ad

That’s a Giant stack of jokes.

Giants wideout Malik Nabers is roasted in a hilarious IHOP commercial, skewering fantasy football fans who blew a first-round pick on the injured star.

The ad features the 22-year-old Pro Bowler promoting the breakfast chain’s bottomless pancakes deal just as the fantasy football season comes to a close.

The commercial leans into a well-known fantasy football hazing tradition in which last-place finishers are sentenced to spend 24 hours inside an IHOP, eating pancakes as punishment.

But Nabers — a high first-round fantasy pick in 2025 whose season ended after just four games due to a torn ACL — winds up being playfully mocked by fans for derailing many fantasy seasons.

“Every year, thousands of fantasy football leagues make their last-place team spend 24 hours at IHOP eating pancakes, and IHOP wants to help,” Nabers says while on crutches.

“Just like you helped everyone’s fantasy team this season?” a waitress sarcastically asks while dropping off a fresh stack of pancakes to a fan enduring the punishment, chuckling as she walks away.

Moments later, a young fan excitedly approaches Nabers and asks if he’s the star wide receiver.

“Yeah, that’s me!” Nabers replies.

The boy’s expression quickly turns sour as he snaps, “I wasted my first-round pick on YOU!” before storming off.

“Can we get this kid some pancakes?” Nabers shouts as the commercial ends.

Despite the injury being one of several factors contributing to the Giants’ disastrous season — and countless fantasy collapses — the commercial shows the young wide receiver embracing the moment with humor.

Fans praised Nabers for leaning into the joke in the comment section.

“I wasted a first-round pick on him too,” one fan wrote.

“Epic commercial. Way to be a good sport, Malik!” another commented.

“Mad props to Malik for having humor about his injury. Come back stronger than ever,” a third added.

“Is there an Emmy award for commercials?” questioned another commenter.

Nabers entered the 2025 season with massive expectations after a standout rookie year in which he caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl nod and finishing as a Rookie of the Year finalist.

He showed early promise with 271 yards and two touchdowns in four games before suffering a season-ending ACL tear on Sept. 28 against the Los Angeles Chargers at MetLife Stadium.

Nabers ranked No. 8 overall in average draft position in ESPN poinsts-per-reception leagues entering the season, according to FantasyPros.

Despite the setback, his 2026 fantasy outlook remains strong, with an expected return before the start of next season.
