After claiming to lose roughly six figures on sports betting, New York radio legend Chris Russo is back at it again; furious over another lost bet.

Iowa has one of the worst offenses in the country, and oddsmakers set a paltry over/under of 2.5 for the Hawkeyes’ matchup with Michigan on Saturday.

The over/under line in the first half was 3.5 and was bet down to 2.5 pregame, which Russo bet.

The disrespectful line was apparently giving them too much credit after all.

The Hawkeyes would wind up falling to the Wolverines 26-0, a cover for Michigan, who were 21.5-point favorites prior to the contest.

“All they had to do was kick a stupid field goal, they had the ball seven times they had three first downs,” Russo ranted on “ESPN First Take” on Monday. “They did not score. What an easy one to win! Kick a field goal!”

Despite the low total and minimal offensive output that both teams were putting together this season, the most bet side of any game during college football conference championship weekend was over 36.5 for Michigan-Iowa.

At least the ESPN and radio host is able to say he wasn’t alone in the offensive optimism for this game.

The closest that Russo got to this bet coming up aces as a winner was when Michigan punted to Iowa midway through the second quarter.

Mad Dog is not happy with Iowa for not being able to hit the first half over of 2.5 points which he bet.

The Wolverines punted from their own 13-yard line and it traveled just 25 yards, giving Iowa a possession in plus-territory at the oppositions 38-yard line.

Surely if Russo was watching, this had to be the most frustrating part of the first half.

After a complete pass to put Iowa at the Michigan 30, right at the edge of field goal range, a 3rd and 2 pass was completed and fumbled by Hawkeye wide receiver Jaziun Patterson.

Betting on College Football?

He was likely one play away from a field goal and a winner for Russo.

But all he gets is pain and maybe a few reward points if he’s betting with a legal sportsbook.
