Jason Kelce is now the sexiest man in the NFL, and he was introduced as such while appearing on the pregame show of Thursday night’s tilt between the Panthers and Bears.
The elder Kelce brother, who plays center for the Eagles, was mentioned in People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, along with the likes of Pedro Pascal, Timothée Chalamet, Usher, Jamie Foxx and Lenny Kravitz.
Since then, it has been the talk of the NFL community and was quickly brought up during the “Thursday Night Football” pregame on Prime Video on Thursday night.
“Listen, I don’t know how this all happened, but it’s honestly just another day,” Kelce, 36, said. “My wife tells me all the time I’m the sexiest man in the world, so I’ve been wondering what’s been taking so long for this nomination to happen.
“It’s been a whirlwind, it’s been fun. It’s a win for plus-size bearded men all over.”
Kelce has become a growing personality in the NFL through his “New Heights” podcast that he co-hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Chiefs.
His popularity grew even more with the release of the documentary “Kelce,” which was released this fall on Prime Video.

During another interview on the “Thursday Night Football” broadcast, Kelce joked about losing out to Patrick Dempsey, who People ultimately named the “Sexiest Man.”
Kelce said in jest that it was a wakeup call for him.
“It’s more about self-reflection,” Kelce said. “What could I have done to be better? How could I have been sexier? I don’t know. I did the best I could. My wife Kylie reminds me every day that I’m the sexiest man alive, so as long as I’m still No. 1 in her eyes I’m good.”
