Jena Sims’ Sports Illustrated Swimsuit moment has arrived.
The 35-year-old model and philanthropist unveiled behind-the-scenes footage from her rookie photo shoot Tuesday on Instagram as she awaits her anticipated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in the May 2024 issue.
Captioning the post, “That feeling when you no longer have to gatekeep your @si_swimsuit Rookie shoot content!!!!” Sims could be seen modeling a collection of swimsuits on location from Mexico, where she posed against a sunkissed backdrop.
Much of social media salivated over the snaps, including Sims’ husband, five-time major golf champion Brooks Koepka.
“That’s my wife!!! Hell yeah!!!!!” Koepka, 33, commented on the post, along with four heart-eyed emojis.
Paige Spiranac, a fellow Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum, wrote of Sims: “You look unreal.”
Sims was named a co-winner of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual Swimsearch casting call with six other women following three previous attempts to be featured in the storied publication.
“I think you can learn so much with rejection,” Sims told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in a new interview. “I’m a Capricorn, I’m very stubborn. So if I have a goal, I’m gonna go after it. I’m big on making the first move. I made the first move on my now husband, some of my biggest opportunities in life, some of my collaborations … I made the first move.”
Sims posed for the magazine in Cancun this past December — four months after welcoming her first child with Koepka, son Crew.
“I was so proud of how I looked,” Sims told The Post in a recent interview. “I worked my ass off.”
To celebrate the milestone moment, Sims and the crew toasted with a bottle of Clase Azul tequila that she purchased from her hotel pool bar.
“[The bartender] was like, ‘Are you sure you want this whole bottle,’ and I’m like, ‘Trust me, yes,’ and I brought it to the shoot and I made everyone a shot and we all took a shot together,” she said.
It’s been an exciting month for Sims, who recently supported Koepka at the 2024 Masters.
The couple, who will celebrate their second wedding anniversary in June, met at the tournament in 2015.
Koepka, last year’s Masters runner-up to Jon Rahm, tied for 45th after finishing the week at nine-over par.
