The Jets will be without one of their defensive backs for the foreseeable future.
Safety Andre Cisco will undergo surgery for a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in Gang Green’s Week 8 win over the Bengals and is expected to be out indefinitely, ESPN reported Tuesday night.
Cisco has started all eight games for the Jets this season after signing a one-year, $8.5 million contract this offseason.

He’s recorded 41 tackles and one pass defended while ranking 51st out of 88 in safeties, according to Pro Football Focus’ grading system.
Cisco has yet to pick up an interception after recording eight over the last three seasons with the Jaguars.
Tony Adams and Isaiah Oliver both are listed as backups on the Jets’ depth chart and could see more action at safety when the Jets return from their bye in Week 10 against the Browns.
