Tempers flared and at least one punch was thrown during the second joint practice between the Jets and Giants on Wednesday.

Will McDonald tackled Tyrone Tracy Jr. to the ground, which did not sit well with the Giants offensive line.

Greg Van Roten and McDonald got tangled up and went to the ground with Van Roten, a former Jet, on top. Rookie Marcus Mbow — filling in as the starting right tackle — jumped in.

The Giants duo got a couple shots in on McDonald.

At the same time, Jon Runyan Jr. and Qwan’tez Stigglers looked ready to brawl. Stiggers ripped off Runyan’s helmet and squared up to the much bigger Runyan.

Aaron Stinnie and Russell Wilson stepped in as cooler heads.

It dated back to earlier in the practice when Runyan took exception with Jamien Sherwood’s big hit on a ball-carrier.

The Jets have tackled to the ground in certain training camp practices. The Giants have not.
