Jordan Spieth’s son Sammy stole the spotlight during the Par 3 Contest at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga. on Wednesday.
Sammy, 3, hit a powerful tee shot as the PGA Tour player proudly looked on, as seen in a video posted by the Masters X account.
ESPN host Scott Van Pelt, who will commentate for the network during the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday, called Sammy “spectacular.”
“Let it rip, Sammy,” Van Pelt added.
The father-son duo celebrated the moment together as the fans along the course cheered.
Sammy looked adorable while dressed in a white caddie jumpsuit that had his last name on the back.
He also wore a Masters hat and bright green sneakers.
Annie Verret, Spieth’s wife, and their daughter Sophie, 1, were matching in their own caddie jumpsuits and green accessories.
In February, Spieth, 31, announced they’re expecting their third child in July.
He had a relatable dad moment with Sophie on Wednesday.
While mic’d up on the course, Spieth had to pause his interview to stop his daughter from eating something in the grass at Augusta National Golf Course, as seen in a video shared on X by The Masters.
“Half playing, half parenting. Multi-tasking at its best,” the caption read.
The Par 3 Contest is a lighthearted competition where participants in the Masters and non-competing past champions are invited to play on a shortened nine-hole course.
It is common for golfers to invite their families, spouses or children to participate as their caddies in the friendly competition.
Scottie Scheffler, the reigning Masters champion, participated with his wife Meredith and their infant son Bennett, whose birth was announced last May.
Bear Burns, the son of golfer Sam Burns and wife Caroline, joined the Par 3 contest, along with Billy Horschel’s daughter, Colbie, 8.
No player who won the Par 3 Contest has ever won the Masters in the same year.
