Thunder guard Josh Giddey won’t face charges following a police investigation into whether he had an inappropriate relationship with an underaged girl, TMZ reported Wednesday.
After opening up an investigation in November, the Newport Beach Police Department has closed its probe after no corroborating evidence had been found, the outlet reported.
Allegations against Giddey, 21, first surfaced on social media in late November, when photos and videos surfaced that appeared to show the third-year pro with a minor believed to be a junior in high school.
“I understand the question obviously, but no further comment right now,” Giddey told reporters, who pressed him repeatedly after the news initially broke.
The teen and her family would not cooperate with investigators, and famed attorney Gloria Allred was even hired by the minor to represent her.
Giddey has remained active on the Thunder roster and continued to play in the midst of the allegations.
