This was one of those nights when, by the end, it was hard to tell the difference between who was doing the playing and who was doing the cheering. On the floor at Madison Square Garden, a buzzer groaned and a gaggle of exhausted players hugged and high-fived and breathed deep, satisfying breaths.
Upstairs, in Section 215, two Knicks fans gave each other a high-10. Then they collapsed into their seats.
“I’m too exhausted to go home,” Jerry McNamee said.

“I’m too exhausted to stand up,” Sean Lafferty said.
