John Harbaugh clearly left his mark on the Ravens.

Star cornerback Marlon Humphrey had a short and sweet statement for his now-former coach as Harbaugh and the Ravens announced they were parting ways Tuesday.

“John Harbaugh. A good man,” Humphrey said in a post on social media.

Humphrey was selected by the Ravens in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has only played for him during his career, which includes four Pro Bowl nods and two-time First-team All-Pro honors.

The Ravens came up short in 2025, missing the playoffs thanks to a missed field goal by rookie kicker Tyler Loop as time expired in a 26-24 Week 18 loss to the Steelers.

The end of Harbaugh’s career in Baltimore was marred by bad luck, as the Ravens nearly got past the Bills in the AFC playoffs last year but a dropped game-tying two-point conversion by Mark Andrews sealed their fate.

The 2023 season ended in a 17-10 loss to the Chiefs in the divisional round. Star receiver Zay Flowers fumbled at the goal line, and Andrews also coughed up the ball in crunch time.

While Humphrey commented on the shocking move, star quarterback Lamar Jackson has not released a statement showing love to the man he has called his coach since he got to the league in 2018.

Jackson was the last pick of the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft, after which Harbaugh adapted his offensive schemes to fit Jackson’s style and turned him into an MVP.

Reports have trickled out that Harbaugh lost the locker room, but it appears that Humphrey has not forgotten the Harbaugh effect.

Harbaugh won the Super Bowl in the 2012 season and coached the Ravens for 18 years, and the team now looks for a new leader to build around Jackson.
