Matthew Stafford sought out Cooper Kupp after Rams loss to Seahawks

Before Matthew Stafford hit the showers, mourned the loss of the Rams’ 2025 season, or sent any kind of messages to his team, the Rams quarterback had one simple goal — find Seahawks star Cooper Kupp.

Just after the final whistle blew on the NFC Championship game at Lumen Field in Seattle, Stafford went on a frantic hunt to congratulate his former No. 1 target on advancing to the Super Bowl with a 31-27 victory over Los Angeles.

Aaron Glenn is off to a rocky start this offseason — but is there a pathway for Jets to fix it?

Cameras caught the 37-year-old signal-caller running all over the turf in an effort to jump into his old pal’s ear.

At one point, he was so desperate to get a hold of the ex-Rams wideout, he actually asked some Seattle players, “Where’s 10?”

Finally, he found him, and the two shared a huge embrace.

“Quit making me f—king look for you for so long,” Stafford joked as he grabbed Kupp. “Go win your God damn Super Bowl, kid.”

Kupp was nothing but complimentary in his reply.

“Man, I love you, man,” he said. “You’re unbelievable.”

Kupp and Stafford played in Los Angeles together from 2021 to 2024, and their first season together was one of the greatest in NFL history.

Stafford helped Kupp earn triple crown honors in 2021 with 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns on 145 catches. The two went on to win the Super Bowl together that season, and Kupp was named MVP of the big game.

Kupp was ultimately released by L.A. in mid-March last year, and then he signed on with the Seahawks two days later.

He caught four balls for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s big win, and following the game, he praised his former quarterback and team.

“Matthew’s the man,” he said. “Ultimate competitor. One of the best to ever play the position. I love the guy. Every time he has the ball, it’s freakin’ terrifying. I love him.

“There’s a lot of guys over there who are best friends of mine, and so, this was a crazy one.”
