Love was in the air in Italy.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love and his girlfriend, Ronika Stone, got engaged during a romantic trip to Italy, as seen in photos the couple shared in a joint post on Instagram on Sunday.
“First step to forever💍❤️,” the 25-year-old Love wrote, including a photo of the stunning cushion cut diamond ring, which featured a gold band, he presented Stone.
The former first-round pick got down on one knee outside of Castello di Celsa, a castle from the 13th century in the heart of Tuscany.
Love and Stone, who is a professional volleyball player with the San Diego Mojo, then enjoyed a candlelit dinner on a balcony at the castle and took in the breathtaking views of Tuscany.
“Future Love’s,” Stone wrote on her Instagram Story, including their engagement photos.
“Wow… Crying. Unreal,” she continued in a series of posts.
Love worked with Martina Udicova, a top proposal planner in Italy, as well as boutique travel company, Lilacs & Chai to pull off the engagement surprise, according to his social media.
It’s unclear exactly how the couple got together.
Love and Stone, an Oregon volleyball alum, have been together since at least September 2020, according to her Instagram.
He went public with their relationship on social media in early 2021.
The couple’s trip to Italy came after Love attended the Packers’ mandatory minicamp, which took place from June 11-13 in Green Bay.
The Packers open the 2024 NFL season against the Eagles in Brazil on Sept. 6.
