There is no shortage of drama heading into Sunday’s interconference matchup between the 2-6 Giants and 3-5 Raiders in Las Vegas.

The Raiders fired head coach Josh McDaniels this past week following back-to-back ugly road losses at Chicago and Detroit. The Silver and Black are also changing things up at the quarterback position, as Aidan O’Connell gets the call this week in place of Jimmy Garoppolo, who threw for 126 yards in Monday’s 26-14 defeat to the Lions.

The Giants head west following a befuddling loss to the rival Jets in overtime last Sunday. The G-Men led by three points late, but kicker Graham Gano missed a field goal, then the Jets took it down the field and tied the game at the end of regulation and eventually won in overtime, 13-10.

Daniel Jones is expected back at quarterback this week for the Giants, who have scored 14 points or less in three games with the former first-round pick sidelined. The only good news for the Giants is that the defense has stepped up of late, allowing 14 points or fewer in each of the past three games.

The Raiders have won each of their past two games at Allegiant Stadium, and now former Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce makes his head coaching debut in place of the fired McDaniels.

This game is a toss-up from a side perspective, but looking at the total, which sits at 37.5, this can be a time to buck the trends and look at an Over.

The Giants have hit the Under in seven of eight games, while the Raiders are 6-2 to the Under.

However, Las Vegas has drilled an Over in its lone game with a total below 40, while the Giants don’t have to worry about horrible weather like it did in last week’s game against the Jets.

Betting on the NFL?

Let’s look at the Over between the Giants and Raiders on Sunday.

The play: Giants-Raiders Over 37.5.
