The internet is buzzing over a wild conspiracy theory about Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and 12-time Grammy-winner Taylor Swift.
Following a recent report from The Messenger that Kelce and Swift have “been quietly hanging out,” a TikTok video has gone viral for explaining the hypothetical script to their romance — and it includes a villainous twist.
The TikTok user, “stan.hathaway” (née Grace Weissend), who posted the video on Wednesday, suggested a theory where Swift, who’s a Pennsylvania native and an Eagles fan, entertains a romance with Kelce, only to mess with his head and break his heart right in time for the Super Bowl in February 2024 between the Chiefs and Eagles again.
“I see right through you @Taylor Swift,” the TikTok user, wrote in the caption.
The Chiefs fan — who is a writer and comedian, according to TikTok — went on to theorize that Swift will ghost Kelce before the Super Bowl, and then surprise him and the world as the halftime performer.
The baseless theory concludes with Kelce having a bad game due to his devastation about Swift, and the Eagles kicking a field goal to win the game.
“Taylor swift appears on the Jumbotron. She says, “Checkmate, I couldn’t lose,’” the TikToker said.
“The Lombardi trophy is presented. Jason Kelce, Travis’ brother, who plays for the Eagles, wins the MVP.
“In the postgame interview, they ask if he has anyone he wants to thank, he just looks into the camera and says, ‘It’s nice to have a friend’ — winks.”
The TikToker went on to say the Eagles end up making Swift a Super Bowl ring.
“So, all this to say, Taylor Swift, you’re not slick,” she said. “I see what you’re doing and I don’t like it. Go Chiefs.”
After the Eagles defeated the Vikings 34-28 on “Thursday Night Football,” Kelce was asked about the rumors that his younger brother is hanging out with Swift.
“I’ve seen these rumors, I cannot comment,” the Eagles center said.
Before that, the Chiefs star revealed his plan to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it during an episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast.
Taylor has yet to addressed the reports publicly.
