The Titans turned to the lead of one of the AFC’s top offenses across recent seasons for their Mike Vrabel replacement.
They’re finalizing a deal to hire Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as their next head coach, according to multiple reports, as Tennessee ends a search that started with a surprise firing.
Callahan, on an NFL staff since 2010 and with the Bengals in his current role since 2019, helped the Cincinnati reach Super Bowl 2021, where they lost to the Rams, and has helped Joe Burrow become one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks.
He hasn’t served as a head coach before, but he’ll be tasked with helping Will Levis, who the Titans drafted in 2023, develop into their next franchise signal-caller.
