A UAB football player allegedly stabbed two of his teammates at the team’s facility on Saturday, according to ESPN.
The two players were transported to UAB Hospital and are in stable condition, per the report, and the suspect has been arrested.
“UAB Police and Public Safety is investigating an assault that took place this morning at the Football Operations Center,” the school said in a statement. “Injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. The suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to campus.”

UAB is playing a home game against South Florida at Protective Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“UAB’s top priority remains the safety and well-being of all of our students,” the school said.
