There’s going to be a fight — well, 12 to be exact — in New Jersey this weekend.
On Saturday, June 1, UFC 302 is going down at Newark’s Prudential Center. The event’s Main Card pits Russian lightweight champion Islam Makhachev against the U.S.’ Dustin Poirier.
While not confirmed, the high-stakes matchup is probably the final attempt at championship status for the 35-year-old Poirier.
“I feel like I’ve done everything in the sport except wrap that title around my waist,” Poirier shared on Instagram. “…being the undisputed champ is why I started fighting and that still means a lot to me…I just gotta get the job done.”
If you want to be there to see The Diamond duke it out in the ring for what might be his last chance to win the UFC’s lightweight belt — and see 11 other fights (!) — it isn’t too late to pick up last-minute tickets.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on UFC 302 tickets was $315 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Floor seats start at $700 before fees.
