Wolters Kluwer Health unveils clinical decision support services at HIMSS24

Today, Wolters Kluwer Health announced a new suite of next-generation clinical support tools pairing point-of-care decision support, workflow optimization and patient-centered care resources.

The new suite includes UpToDate, UpToDate Lexidrug (formerly Lexicomp), UpToDate patient engagement (formerly Emmi) and UpToDate digital architect.

Wolters Kluwer released two new products: the UpToDate Enterprise Suite and the UpToDate Pro Suite.

The enterprise suite is structured to support health systems and plans through tools, technology and evidence-based information.

The suite gives providers tools related not only to decision-making, but also to navigating fast-changing, updated medical guidelines.

While the enterprise suite is tailored to larger healthcare organizations, UpToDate Pro Suite is targeted to reach individual clinicians and small group practices. Users can customize the app and access the information across multiple devices.

“Through our investments in harmonizing our market-leading and innovative solutions, we are delivering what our customers need most today – a comprehensive and unified set of clinical solutions they know they can trust to help them provide the best care for their patients” said Greg Samios, president and CEO of clinical effectiveness at Wolters Kluwer Health, in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

Healthcare systems today have many challenges to navigate, such as novel financial pressures, staffing shortages, worker burnout and the need to integrate technology into workflows.

Wolters Kluwer Health looks to bridge this gap by offering a suite of products to optimize workflows and deliver an improved patient experience.

Other companies in the clinical support sector include Epic systems, a practice management solutions company, Health Catalyst, a company based out of Salt Lake City Utah, Simple Practice and Kareo, a telehealth optimization company.
